We’re often asked the question… why did you open a pet store? The best answer we can give you is because of our love and appreciation for animals. Hobby gone profession, we love what we do every day. On paper, we started out at 2500 square feet… which quickly progressed to 5000… and ended at 9000… yet not a day goes by that we realize we could always use more space.

We wanted something more than just a pet store; we wanted a place to remember. A place that we could exhibit our own pets, and a place that people would travel to find something unique. We felt that pet stores were losing the ‘pet’ aspect, so we wanted to offer a variety of everything. All which required space! We created an island theme with a sunken pirate ship that contains the ocean’s treasures. As you travel to dry land, you’ll find our reptiles scattered along the shore, a little further in, you’ll cross paths with the small animals, puppies, and kittens… while deep into the heart of the jungle, you’ll find our birds. You’ll enter our store by saying hello to Speedy and Rocket, our Sulcata Tortoises, and leave by saying goodbye to Kermit, our Military Macaw.

Caring for and maintaining all the animals here at Corbins Exotic Pets is our top priority, and one of the things we are most proud of is the knowledge and attention of our staff. Every day our animals are inspected, handled, and fed the freshest foods, including fresh cut fruits and vegetables… yes, most of the animals eat better than we do! All of our animals are treated as if they were our own, ensuring the buyer that they are receiving a healthy animal. We welcome all questions… and if we don’t have the answer, we’ll try to find it for you. We always try to make sure that no customer leaves our store without knowing just how to care for their pet.

Another pride we take is the breeding of our own animals. It shows through in that our animals are all happy and healthy. The majority of our animals are born on our premises, and we feel that we are able to offer a higher quality pet to our customers as a result of this. We take pride in being able to say… “Here’s there's this one’s mom and there’s its dad”. We often hear how friendly our animals are!

When it comes down to it, we are a family run store. We do our best to help our customers with their questions and concerns. If we don’t have the right answer, we’ll point you in the correct direction. If we don’t have an item, we will do our best to get it for you. We are always accepting special orders and doing our best to fulfill them, and we are always looking towards the future and its possibilities. What kind of crazy reptile did we come upon this week? You’ll notice that is our specialty!

It has been proven that pets increase the quality of a person's life, and there is never a better moment than seeing the smiles of people taking home their new pet.
